Sew Mama Sew Giveaway #2

Handmade with love, each of the items sold at Sewing Hope for Asia’s new Etsy store represents the hope of new life for women in South Asia. One hundred percent of the proceeds from each purchase goes directly to the Asian mission field to provide women with sewing machines of their own, so they can create and sell beautifully stitched items to provide for themselves and their families.

I’m so excited to be a part of this new venture to allow crafters to create and donate items to benefit families in need in Asia. Sewing Hope for Asia has donated a beautiful handmade 18″ doll outfit for me to give away in Sew Mama Sew’s Giveaway Day to help spread the word.

The seamstress who created this outfit and the many others that you’ll find available at Sewing Hope shares her vision of using her sewing machine and her skills as a seamstress to bring hope to women on the other side of the world here: Madelyn’s Story.

To enter to win, simply leave a comment here sharing either who you’d love to give this doll outfit to or how you enjoy blessing others with your craft skills. The winner will be chosen at random on December 18th. (We’ll be a little busy with a wedding the night before, so it may take me until Sunday to post.) If you have questions about donating handmade items to Sewing Hope, please contact Gospel for Asia at 1-800-WIN-ASIA (946-2742) or email strategicgiving@gfa.org.

If I were to win this, it would go to my little Emmalyne, who is currently consumed with her American Girl dolls.

As far as blessing others with crafts and sewing. I like to share and donate from my big from my stash of fabric that I have been blessed with. It is always such a blessing when someone gets a surprise fluffy package and are all excited about it and share what they plan to create.

What a great doll! I’d first see if PeterMike wanted his own baby, but if he didn’t I’d be so excited to FOM it!

Since my daughter is too young (she’s only 1), I will donate to the Christmas Box Office with the blankets I’m finishing up for the little kids there. Thanks and Happy Holidays

Our church has a “Giving Tree” where we wrap up presents for kids that are in shelters around the city. I have an 18″ doll I would love to dress in that outfit to put under the Giving Tree.

Great giveaway, and what a kind thing you are doing for Asia families in need! If I won this it would go to my little girl, her birthday is coming up and I know she would love new clothes for her currently nude baby doll. 🙂 Thanks for the chance to win!

I love this mission! Since I am preparing to have my baby soon, I want to make sure to get my other children something special. I made my son a robot pillow/stuffie (we designed it together, but I think he forgot about it!) and got my daughter a doll (thank God for thrift stores!). But the poor doll is naked! I was going to make a dress or something for her, but I’m not able to get out of bed. But God’s power is certainly perfected in our weakness…
On a totally unrelated subject – do you know how I can subscribe to your blog? I’ll keep looking around…. Thanks so much!

I would love to give this to my daughter–she loves her American Girl dolls! I love to have warm toes, so I recently knitted a pair of warm socks for a friend who just had surgery–just a little something to let her know I care. Thanks for the chance to win!

I would love to give this to my daughter. I love that your helping out the ladies of Asia. From everything in my shop 15% goes toward compassion international. I am using the rest for our adoption fund. I love shops that help others!

Thank you for the chance to win!

Well, I love to make things for other people. I was just recently reminded that I made my cousin a plastic canvas watch when I was 8! That was 20 years ago (yeah, I know I’m really not that old 🙂 Anyway, so I’ve been making and giving stuff a way for as long as I can remember.

While I’d love this outfit for my daughter, I think I would give it to our neighbor girl if I win, simply because she would be able to use it right away while my girl is still a little young for dress up doll clothes.

I would give this outfit to my sister-in-law who got her first AG doll for her 10th birthday. I have made her a couple of outfits already but nothing quite as fancy.

What a wonderful project/charity. If I were to win that adorable outfit it would be given to our Granddaughter. She just got her own American Girl doll at the end of August for her birthday. She would LOVE this outfit. Thank you so much.

  • Anne says:

My daughter would love to give this outfit to her best friend who recently moved away and who LOVES American Girl dolls, though she only has one really old one.

  • Deb says:

I’d give the outfit to a family with 5 little girls…one of them surely must have a doll that the outfit would be perfect for!
